Superoxide Production under Soft X‑ray Irradiation of Liquid Water

In an article published by The Journal of Physical Chemistry, researchers have been investigating Superoxide Production under Soft X‑ray Irradiation of Liquid Water.

Silson’s silicon nitride membranes were used for the soft X-ray irradiation experiments were completed using the soft X-ray branch of the METROLOGIE beamline at synchrotron SOLEIL, using a “dedicated microfluidic setup to solve the problem of the poor penetration of soft X-rays in liquid media”.
