Nanoscintillator Coating: A Key Parameter That Strongly Impacts Internalization, Biocompatibility, and Therapeutic Efficacy in Pancreatic Cancer Models

Small Science published by Wiley-VCH GmbH has released an article by Fulbert et Al about the study of nanoscintillator coating and its potential role in improving the efficacy of radiotherapy for pancreatic cancer treatment.  The results of the experiments show a higher internalization of the nanoparticles after coating which correlates to greater efficacy under X-rays.

Silson’s silicon nitride membranes were used for the XRF microscopy and the cryo-optical fluorescence microscopy
