Correlative imaging to resolve molecular structures in individual cells: Substrate validation study for super-resolution infrared microspectroscopy

Nanomedicine: Nanotechnology, Biology and Medicine have published an article by Paulus et Al which demonstrates that optical photothermal infrared microspectroscopy (O-PTIR) is a “valuable imaging tool that can extract chemical information to locate molecular structures at submicron resolution”.

Silson’s Si3N4 membranes were used for some of the research, with dimensions of  1 × 1 mm, 100 nm-thick Si3N4 membrane on a 0.5 × 0.5 cm Si frame.
